General Thoughts Lately, when I’ve been sitting down to work, I just pick something I know needs to be done and start. I have not been making too much use of my Trello board until I’m done working, oddly enough. Today I decided to add two animations to my zombies: Running and Dying. My last venture of merely skinning a model and putting it into my game took two days, so I was prepared to flop around all today just trying to learn something....
General Thoughts I’m feeling even more disorganized, but progress has marched forward. I’ve finally tackled the world of 3D modeling, and after several hours of fruitless fiddling, I finally have a T-posing zombie. I also have set up a small demo arena, and plan to use that to get my first test run of the game going. While setting up my demo, I’ve run into several things I’m not sure I like....
In about twenty minutes, I need to get ready for work, so this will be a fairly short entry. I’ve been trying lately to make regular time to work on my hobbies, without sacrificing time with friends, family, and just relaxing. This has been realized largely through cutting down downtime (aka, time reading Reddit or spent on YouTube), and actively choosing to program over times where I’d normally play video games....
Well, I set down an hour to get some game dev time in after work. For some reason, my console in Godot is no longer showing any text. I have stepped through a countless reddit post and crawled anyone on the godot forums, but no one seems to be having the same issue as me. The most common issue people are having is having the comments accidentally disabled - and I’ve checked checked and triple checked that....
General Thoughts I’m reaching a point where I sort of need to sit down and organize a couple of things. I think I’m going to organize in tandem with writing this devlog. First, I pretty much want to retool my entire workflow. This can be put into a few seperate areas: Administrative (Writing Devlogs, outling concepts in Trello) Workstation (My OS, my actual desk setup) Game Dev (Actually making the game) Administrative Something I’ve complained about before is how obnoxious it is to add pictures to my posts....
